UAE Ambassador launches Ramadan project in Lebanon

Hamad Saeed Sultan Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Lebanon, inaugurated today the 'Emirati Project for Ramadan Breakfast in Lebanon.

The project, which is run by the Attaché for Humanitarian and Development Affairs in the UAE Embassy in Beirut, is supported by Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment, Office of Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, the Emirate Red Crescent, ERC, and Sharjah Charity International.

It is managed by some local strategic partners such as the Ministry of Social Affairs, Lebanon, and some other local licensed charities and civil society organisations.

Al Shamsi congratulated the UAE leadership, the Lebanese President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon and the UAE and Lebanese people on the advent of the Holy month of Ramadan.

He also said that this year's version of the project will feature group Iftars, breakfast, for needy people, orphans, elderly and people with determination in Beirut, Sidon, Tripoli and some other eras.

'The group iftars will take place at the Social Welfare Institutions, Zakat Fund, the Islamic Centre in Aysha Bakar, Mohammed Khalid Establishment for Social Welfare, SOS village in Sidon and other places' he added.
