Guidanian launches new tourism strategy from Paris

Tourism Minister, Avedis Guidanian, during his visit to France launched the new tourism strategy for tourism development, aimed at attracting European tourists from around the world.

The event coincided with the visit of President Michel Aoun and the accompanying delegation to the French capital.

The new tourism plan was launched during a gathering of French travel and tourism agencies, and a large number of conference, party and tour operators at the Westin Vendome Hotel in Paris, in cooperation with 'Visit Lebanon' which will officially boost Lebanon's tourism capabilities worldwide.

Guidanian announced the establishment of an office to introduce tourism activities in Lebanon, specifically for business tourism and conferences.

'Visit Lebanon' will be responsible for implementing the tourism strategy which is based on four main axes:
- Promoting Lebanon as a destination by foreign tour operators
- Making Lebanon a conference and business center at the regional and international levels, in cooperation with regional and international tourism companies
- Encouraging Lebanese expatriates to visit Lebanon
- Preparing digital tools to keep up with this tourism development with a focus on building channels of cooperation between various tourism institutions and securing websites dedicated to recreational and commercial tourism.
